These are one of the safest modular electric vehicle (EV) chargers on the market. Ideal for residential or light commercial installations such as motels, campsites and private car parks. 

The wall pod offers flexibility thanks to its simple and durable water proof design.

The unit is designed to offer full Mode 3 charging up to 32amp (7.2 kW) charging to Electric Vehicle (EV). This unit also incorporates a time clock and boost button system which allows the charging of the EV to automatically commence during off-peak electricity times/rates or when your solar PV array may be producing excess power during midday peaks.

The “Charge Boost” button can be pressed at any time to override the time clock in order to provide additional or instant EV charging.

This charger offers an integrated type 2 socket (62196-2 standard for many EV's). This socket can then be used with a multitude of cables (available separately).

Type 2 sockets are becoming a standard connector for EV's on AC charging.

Currently, the most common EV in New Zealand is a Nissan Leaf. This has a type 1 socket on the car.  This Type 2 wall pod can still be used with this charger when using a Type 1 to Type 2 cable (sold separately).  This would charge a Nissan Leaf in around 4 hours from empty depending on the on-board charger and the available amps on the home circuit.
